Meet Our Founder

Rena L. Lewis, APR

Global Strategic Marketing, Communications & Branding Executive

As Founder & Chief Strategy Officer at Signature Intentions LLC, I’m delighted to leverage my 20+ years of experience and expertise as a global marketing, communications and branding executive – helping companies and leaders across a variety of industries successfully define and communicate the unique value of their company, customer experiences, thought leadership, and product/service offerings to all intended audiences.

Curious. Passionate. Intentional.

I am a data-informed strategist with a passion for translating insights into actionable plans, compelling content and winning campaigns that drive optimized sales pipelines, profitable revenue growth and enduring relationships while building brand equity.

I’ve been professionally blessed to have worked with and learned from some exceptionally smart, talented and capable people in the great companies that I’ve had the pleasure of working at throughout my career – including serving in leadership roles at Wolters Kluwer, Infosys, EducationDynamics, KPMG, Lee Hecht Harrison , Gartner and American Express.

Since making my move to Charlotte in 2016, I’ve been serving as a trusted strategic advisor to businesses and nonprofit organizations, helping them to succeed through digital customer journey mapping with persona-based segmentation and content, demand generation programs, digital media transformations, reputation management, integrated communications and branding strategies.

My collective work experience, expertise and entrepreneurial spirit led me to take the advice of those who know me well and start my own business, which I’ve named Signature Intentions LLC – inspired by a Wayne Dyer quote: “Our intention becomes our reality”.

Our  Mission  here  at  Signature  Intentions  is  simple

To successfully define and deliver modern, meaningful and measurable outcomes, impact and results driven by our clients’ unique business needs and strategic intent. And with our own intent to do so – on time, within budget and to your delight.

Here’s a bit more about my background:

I earned my Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing from Iona College in New Rochelle, New York, and completed a 2-year Executive Leadership Program at the International Institute for Management Development in Lausanne, Switzerland. I also completed the Advanced School of Market Research Program at the University of Georgia in Atlanta.

City College of New York
I’ve learned more than I taught from my experience as Professor Phil Ryan’s Guest Lecturer on Integrated Marketing and Communications since 2005.

Personally, my heart smiles when I watch the faces of family and friends as they devour meals I’ve cooked especially with them in mind, hitting the tennis courts (I’m missing getting out there for this these days), reading any and all types of books, and learning to play the piano – which I’m not at all great at, but it’s fun to pretend. I do shoot a mean game of pool however, with a particular knack for seemingly impossible shots that require putting “good english” on the ball (It’s all about intention).

My favorite things also include munching on a warm chewy brownie paired with a cold glass of milk, international travel adventures (49 countries over six continents so far), and conversations that lead to deeper understanding and connections. Enough about me – If I haven’t yet had the pleasure, I look forward to connecting with you to learn about your intentions and how we can make them a reality!
